Sense-wise

Looking back at what excited my senses in the few weeks gone by.

Sight: I am currenlty reading a travellog,Travelling with Chairlie by John Steinback,Eating India by Chitrita Bannerji, a contemporary culinary journal and Nasty bites by Anothony Bourdin, a personal account of cook on his job and not so sweet offerings of his proffesion. I also look up to a daily dose of frugal traveller series in NY times..they all paint pictures of what my wish list is made of.Lot of travel, scupmtious platters, a bit of history,a sweaty kitchens and drunken adventures.

Touch: Could finally layed my hands into making treasure out of trash, old boxes is what I like and I turn them into colourful storage boxes, trying out different materials like POP and wall putty to give textures. What is life without textures!?
Hear: Bought some music last sunday, Byran Adams stars is one of my favorites, Gulzar classics for the car and a CD by a local precussionist well suited for the 'it-can-rain-anytime' weather.

Taste: There has been a lot of cooking on weekends, the BBQ smear worked well with desi style chiken preparation and I also learned to make Laccha paratha :) had a bad throat :(, my all time favorite milk and brandy worked well, just liked it did when I had cronic bromchitis as a kid !

Smell: Smelled some crushed germanium yesterday, visited a friend's roof top garden maintained by his owner, fresh bloom of gladolies with herbs and bushed in the faded eveing light looked inviting.
