NYT/14th April2009/ ‘Welcome Back’

Tomorrow is the Bengali new year, the 1st of Boishakh, it time for the mangoes to ripen, the neem tree is in blossom and so is the badami tree, my morning ritual is to sit and bird watch on my balcony, today I saw a big size spotted bird, never seen it before. I am getting a host of visitors after I have left a pot of water for them to feed from, I think a bird bath and a proper feeding dish is called for.

The wild crow now almost comes in side the room if he gets a chance... I would like to tell him to be a bit more patient , it's not the food he's looking for it's water, we both are worried as no rains happened last few months.
I can just hope we do get some showers before the crows dark feathers gets scroched by the relentless sun. Lets sing for some rain in unision.
